Promote peace and order, develop infrastructure and agro-industrial technologies, provide employment opportunities and deliver quality socio-economic services thru active participation of politically matured leaders and constituents who shall be disaster-resilient and endeavor to protect and maintain a well-balanced environment.
OUR GOAL
To transform into a disaster and climate-proofed eco-tourist destination, sustainably-managed lands and business friendly municipality and convert its barangays into high value crop and food producers through the adoption of appropriate sustainable land management practices thereby creating livelihood opportunities to every Abuyognon.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To increase investments for domestic tourism, commerce and trade;
- To provide efficient infrastructure facilities and utilities so as to attract investments;
- To generate employment and livelihood opportunities;
- To increase productivity level of major food, high value fruits and crops;
- To develop, protect and regenerate the coastal and forest resources;
- To provide incentives to individuals/corporations who shall be exemplars in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaption best practices;
- To improve the delivery of basic services such as basic health, quality education, social welfare services and other programs and projects to alleviate or reduce poverty;

HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM
I. Health Program
The Local Government Unit operates PhilHealth-accredited centers with the following employees:
- 1 regular Medical Doctor
- 1 regular Nurse III
- 1 regular Nurse II
- 1 regular Midwife III
- 10 regular Midwife II
- 6 regular Midwife I
- 1 regular Med. Tech.
- 1 regular Lab. Tech.
- 2 Sanitation Inspectors
- 1 regular Utility Worker II
- 2 regular Utility Worker I
As a government entity, the Local Government Unit believes that a healthy employee is motivated and capable to provide efficient and effective services which is needed for the attainment of its mandate.
A. Free Outpatient and Medical Consultation
The Rural Health Unit provides FREE outpatient and medical consultation services to employees and their immediate families. Outpatient consultation daily is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Transport services for emergencies are available, free for indigents.
B. Birthing Center
There are 2 birthing centers, PhilHealth-accredited. LGU-Abuyog employees and their dependents can avail of Maternity Care Package Benefits free of charge. Services include free vaccinations and family planning counseling/commodities.
C. No Smoking Policy
The LGU strictly observes a “NO SMOKING” policy within the Municipality Hall. Designated smoking areas are available at the 2nd floor terrace and back of the municipal hall 1st floor.
II. Wellness Program
The Municipality of Abuyog promotes wellness through sports facilities in all barangays. Every Saturday, the LGU organizes a “Hataw” dance exercise at 5:30 a.m. in front of the Municipal Hall, followed by a “Walk for Cause,” encouraging health, bonding, and community relationships.
